Carty Heights, a new 50-unit HUD-subsidized senior housing project is part of a major urban renewal development in Saint Paul. The building is one of the first HUD facilities in the United States to utilize geothermal ground source energy for both heating and cooling needs. The project reflects the period arts and crafts design of the surrounding neighborhood for both the exterior and interior.
Inside, custom oak details accent the hearth, monumental stair, and a two-story lobby. A generous community room is available for residents’ enjoyment as well as neighborhood events.
Carty Heights was granted the Excellence and Innovation Award from LeadingAge Minnesota.
